Katie & Jack’s relaxed Stone Barn wedding in the Cotswolds, a perfect blend of emotional moments and incredible party atmosphere from beginning to end
Katie and Jack’s Cotswold wedding at Stone Barn was defined by how relaxed and fun it felt from start to finish. The whole day had a beautifully effortless feel – one where everything was centred around enjoying the moment and celebrating with their favourite people. You can see from the smiles on their faces just how incredible the day was and how much their guests enjoyed every second too.

Set in the heart of the Cotswolds countryside, Stone Barn is such a special venue. With its characterful stone walls, open courtyard and panoramic views across the surrounding fields, it offers the perfect blend of rustic charm and understated elegance. Inside, the ceremony space is beautifully lit with natural light, with high ceilings and a warm, intimate feel, all set against a stunning backdrop of Cotswold stone. The large open dining space and exposed kitchens create a really sociable feel, with incredible food and an atmosphere that naturally flows into a great party later on.

Preparations were beautifully relaxed, with a calm, easy start to the morning before everyone made their way into the ceremony space. Stone Barn’s beautiful indoor ceremony space was made even more special by the sound of a live cellist as guests took their seats. From the moment Katie walked down the aisle with her dad, there were tears all around. Jack’s reaction was so genuine and full of emotion – it’s one of those moments every couple hopes for, and it was so special to witness.

Following the ceremony, we had the most incredible confetti moment, with beautiful large real petals and plenty of them for real impact. Despite the forecast hinting at rain, the day turned out beautifully – sunny for much of the afternoon, with just a couple of short, sharp bursts that didn’t take anything away. We were able to enjoy photos and the drinks reception outdoors, with guests spread out across the gardens and terrace.

At the end of the drinks reception, we stepped away briefly for some relaxed couples photos, making the most of the beautiful light and backdrops both inside and out. We kept photo sessions short and sweet, so that Katie and Jack could spend as much time as possible with their friends and family, really soaking it all in. Later in the evening, we headed back out for a few more when some unexpected soft golden light appeared. If you’re blessed with beautiful evening light, it’s always worth making the most of at Stone Barn as the sun sets across the fields.
Wedding Breakfast & heartfelt Speeches
One of my favourite things about Stone Barn is the big open kitchen – you can watch the chefs at work, see the food being prepared, and catch the smell of incredible food filling the space. It creates such a relaxed, sociable feel for the wedding breakfast.
The speeches brought a perfect mix of laughter and heartfelt emotion, with plenty of both throughout. You could really feel how loved Katie and Jack are by everyone in the room.

As the evening rolled in, the atmosphere built once more. Katie and Jack shared a quick first dance before the dance floor filled with guests, the energy building instantly. With a DJ, saxophonist and bongo player weaving in and out of the dance floor, everyone was completely immersed in celebrating alongside them, and it was so much fun to photograph!
