Marylebone Town Hall is one of London’s most iconic wedding venues - instantly recognisable and beautifully historic. Weddings here feel timeless and full of character, from the elegant ceremony rooms and marble interiors to the iconic steps and striking pillars. It offers a wealth of beautiful photo opportunities in an unmistakably London setting.
Marylebone Town Hall is wonderfully versatile, catering for weddings of all styles. With several ceremony rooms available, the venue suits everything from relaxed, intimate ceremonies with just two witnesses to grand wedding celebrations with up to 100 guests. The rooms range from classic dark wood interiors to brighter, pastel-toned spaces, each featuring large windows that flood the rooms with beautiful natural light for photography. Beyond the ceremony rooms, the building itself offers further stunning backdrops - from light-filled hallway windows to the iconic marble staircase, perfect for timeless wedding photographs.
One of Marylebone Town Hall’s most recognisable features is its grand front steps and pillars. They create the perfect backdrop for those first moments as a married couple. We’ll always begin by making the most of the steps with a confetti exit, allowing everyone to gather together and soak up that just-married feeling. From there, we’ll move seamlessly into any group photos you’d like, using both the steps and the pillars for a clean, timeless look.
Timelines at Marylebone Town Hall can be quite tight, particularly at weekends and during peak wedding season, so we often need to work efficiently on the steps before the next couple is due to exit. Even so, we’ll always make time for a couple portraits framed by the pillars (a must here!), along with some relaxed shots on the steps before moving on to the next nearby location.
I usually recommend setting aside around 30–45 minutes for couple portraits, depending on the number of locations you would like. These can take place either before your ceremony (ideal if you’d like uninterrupted time with your guests afterwards) or after your ceremony (perfect if you’re hoping for that more traditional ‘first look’ down the aisle).
Marylebone offers an incredible variety of backdrops just moments from the Town Hall. Elegant Georgian streets, leafy squares and classic London details create a refined, timeless feel. I love to take couples to the streets surrounding Marylebone, alongside a trip to Park Crescent - a sweeping curved terrace with the white columns right by Regent’s Park. Just like Marylebone, it feels grand, architectural and unmistakably London.
Town Hall ceremonies run to a strict schedule, so thoughtful timing is key. Arriving too early can mean waiting outside, while arriving late simply isn’t an option. A calm, well-paced plan helps the whole experience feel relaxed and unhurried.
My Micro wedding coverage begins at two hours. This usually allows time for guest arrivals, the ceremony, a confetti exit, group photos and relaxed couple portraits, as shown in the sample timeline below. If you’d like preparations to be included, I recommend adding one to two hours beforehand. If you’re planning a meal or drinks afterwards, additional coverage can be added to capture those moments too.
12:30pm – Guests & Groom Arrival at Marylebone Town Hall
12:45pm – Brides arrival
1.00pm – Ceremony
1:30pm – Confetti & Family Photos on steps
1:45pm – Couples portraits around Marylebone
2:30pm – Couple to join guests for reception
(additional hour recommended for reception coverage)
For couples planning a longer or more full-day celebration, my full-day packages offer coverage from preparations right through to the evening party, allowing your entire story to be documented naturally.
As always, the timeline can be tailored to suit your plans and priorities, ensuring your day flows in a way that feels right for you. I’m always happy to help couples plan their schedule, offering guidance based on experience and what matters most to you.
