Kirtlington Park is one of those wedding venues that feels effortlessly grand from the very first moment you arrive. Set within the Oxfordshire countryside, this beautiful Palladian mansion offers sweeping views, elegant architecture and a beautiful atmosphere that makes it such a special place to get married. For me, it offers the perfect balance of luxury and warmth – impressive in scale, yet still romantic and intimate too.
One of the most striking things about Kirtlington Park is the light. The tall windows flood the ceremony and reception rooms with natural daylight, creating a soft, flattering glow that photographs beautifully throughout the day.
Whether you’re planning an indoor ceremony in one of the grand, elegant rooms or making the most of the lawns outside, the backdrops always feel refined and timeless. I particularly love the honey-toned stone of the house – it looks incredible whatever the weather, bringing warmth even on overcast days.
For portraits, the grounds offer endless variety without ever needing to venture far. From the iconic front steps to the sweeping driveway and surrounding parkland, there’s space to create everything from relaxed, natural moments to more editorial-style portraits with a sense of scale and drama. It’s a venue that doesn’t need overcomplicating. The architecture, the interiors and the light do so much of the work naturally, allowing your day to unfold effortlessly while still looking beautifully styled.
Here, I’m sharing images from a beautiful editorial shoot I photographed in Spring 2025. Despite a moody grey sky, the venue looked incredible – proof that you don’t need bright sunshine for stunning photographs, when you have the right location. I hope this gives you a little glimpse of what your own wedding photos could look like in this beautiful space.
