We are blessed with so many beautiful venues in the UK, but Euridge Manor and the Lost Orangery has to be one of the most breathtaking and exclusive! Nestled in the heart of the Cotswolds, just outside of Bath, Euridge Manor perfectly combines historic English charm with modern luxury. Euridge’s enchanting gardens, breathtaking architecture and quaint boathouse provide the most beautiful backdrop to proposals, wedding ceremonies and receptions. For a wedding photographer like me, it really is like stepping into a fairytale. With so many stunning locations, here I share some of my favourites to help you plan your perfect wedding day..
The famous thatched boathouse and lake is my favourite photo location. As well as providing the most perfect ceremony backdrop, it’s the most beautiful location for couples portraits. I strongly encourage all couples to take the rowing boat for a quick spin around the lake (rowing skills are definitely not mandatory for this!). As well as a fun activity, you will be rewarded with the most show-stopping photos. Why not spend a little time feeding the ducks in a flower filled rowing boat on your wedding day!
The gardens really are a treasure trove for photography. The castle ruins provide a stunning backdrop to the many hidden corners of the beautifully maintained gardens. In my photography, I Iove seeking out little pockets of light and Euridge has some wonderful spaces for this. The architecture also creates many beautiful frames for couples portraits – my absolute favourite being the iconic arch with its statement crystal chandelier.
You’d be forgiven for thinking you were in Tuscany looking at photos of the alfresco dining pergola at Euridge Manor. It is the most amazing space and there is nothing quite like it elsewhere in the UK. For wedding photography, I love being able to utilise the change in light during golden hour. The pergola provides the perfect location for this, allowing to slowly watch the sunset while you dine in style with your loved ones.
